When there is a bunch of paint in the box, you can pour it onto a canvas.
If I don’t love love love it, then I do something else to it. Sometimes it works smashingly, sometimes, it flops. But I keep working it over until I am happy with it.
The cells were amazing, but they didn’t last. Why? 3 reasons
- there was lots of paint on this so there were currents flowing under the surface
- it was very syrupy so it flowed easily
- I used Liquitex Pouring Medium. That stuff gives amazingly defined lines, but the cells disperse more easily because it seems to remain fluid
But if I want those striations, the lines, then I use Liquitex Pouring Medium.
